Clinical Provider
Summary:
The primary responsibility of clinical providers is to conduct individual, couple, and family counseling for clients seeking services through The Well. Counseling providers will also be expected to present psychoeducational workshops or training events a minimum of two times per year and attend weekly staff meetings and group supervision times (which will also require periodic case presentations to The Well Providers).
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide a variety of treatment services including individual, group, family and marital therapy.
Provide clinical services such as intake/diagnostic evaluations and case evaluations.
Plan and evaluate individual service plans.
Collaborate with other Well Providers, when appropriate, to form interdisciplinary treatment teams.
Collaborate with other staff members to perform clinical assessments and develop treatment plans.
Participate in weekly scheduled group clinical supervision.
Maintain clinical records in accordance with established Well policies and procedures.
Comply with best practice standards, as established by the Clinical Director and Executive Leadership Team.
Participate in weekly staff meetings.
A willingness to participate in the planning and/or the facilitation of a training, workshop, or seminar at The Well a minimum of two times per year.
A willingness to participate in debriefing sessions with staff and teachers of schools in Thailand that have established contracts with The Well.
A willingness to provide counseling and/or training at conferences sponsored by mission organizations in Thailand.
Commit to growing in your field of counseling through continuing education each year and learning new developments in clinical counseling/psychology.
Provide requested services for training, consultations, and/or support services through The Well Foundation to benefit the Thai population.
Knowledge and Skills Necessary:
Ability to provide clinically sound treatment services based on client needs and treatment plans.
Demonstrated understanding of diagnostic evaluation methods.
Ability to provide a wide range of counseling services to clients including, but not limited to, the treatment of depression, anxiety, grief and loss, transition, trauma, and family and marital difficulties.
Ability to maintain clinical records in a timely manner, in compliance with center policies and procedures.
Ability to work collaboratively with The Well Providers and other counselors and community agencies as needed.
A clear understanding and willingness to follow sound ethical practices, as defined by the clinical counseling field, your licensing agency and/or accrediting association.
Ability to effectively organize time and responsibilities.
Qualifications:
Minimum of a Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling, Social Work, or related discipline from an accredited educational institution.
A minimum of two years of post-masters supervised clinical experience (in a multidisciplinary mental health setting), or one year of supervised clinical work in an organized graduate internship program may be substituted for each year of full-time experience.
Licensed as a clinical counselor or an equivalent accreditation from your passport country.
Belong to and are assigned to Thailand by a mission sending organization.
Maintain partner financial support levels of at least 90% of your sending organization’s requirements.
